Extension speaker unit with built in audio filter.
It sounds much better than the internal speaker on FT-One and on the FT-857 and the switchable filters provide an improvement to the audio quality especially when monitoring SSB.
It has two selectable inputs, selection button on front, sockets on the rear, and a socket for head phones on the front.
Mine does not include the phone patch as per the manual that I have but this is no loss as it's a feature that I would not use, even if it was legal here.
It’s a bit grubby and has a few marks on the top surface, but as it was picked up at a boot sale for about £10 I am not complaining.
Antenna tuning unit, originaly desigend to work along side the FT-902 but an ATU is an ATU.
Transverter system originally designed for use with the FT-901 but modified to work with my FT-One.
The modification required was to the input drive circuit as it is expecting a signal from the FT-901 which is at a much higher level than that output from the FT-One.
It is also a tad deaf so the use of the preamp on my BNOS 100W 2M liner is needed. I have not looked into the reason behind this yet, but given some free time I do intend to.
Once apon a time this was Yaesu's flagship product. Manufactured between 1982 and 1986 and sold for around £1500.
Just received this handy little 4M radio as a birthday present, so at long last I am now on 4M. I did plan on adapting a 6M transverter module for the FTV-901 to run on 4M but that’s a project for sometime in the future.
