Myself and fellow Amateurs from the TMARG (T-Mobile Amateur Radio Group) activated the summit of Pen Y Gadair Fawr for the 2nd backpackers contest as M0TMR/P.
We had a ball, up early and home late.
We took the short, steep way up, but decided to take the longer, gentler path down. Followed by a few drinks and a good meal in a pub on the way home.
To our surprise we came second, and then realised there were only 2 entries in the 10W multi operator class. Oh well we had fun and that is the main reason for taking part.
