Welcome to my web site covering my Amateur radio activities.

Although I am not currently active on the bands I still take an interest in amateur radio news and activities.

This web site has been down for quite some time due to never having the time to rebuild it, but as you can see it is back up and running, although not all of the original content is available just yet.

As you can see most of my equipment, that I have purchased, is manufactured by Yaesu. My first radio was the famous FT-290R MK1, followed soon after by the FT-790R MK1.

After my 790 died I decided it was time to replace it with something else and as I thought some HF mobile sounded attractive I opted for the FT-857 and ATAS-120 combination.

During 2010 all of my operating was mobile to and from work, and mostly via the repeater GB3VH located near Hatfield. However, I was then back working in central London, and as most of my time is spent commuting on a train, my radio operations were curtailed.

Now I am living and working in south Somerset but still no time to operate although I am contemplating bringing my 2M / 70CM HT to work so I can at least listen.
